Bottomless Brunch has become insanely popular in Liverpool. But do you know its origin?
The term “Brunch” was coined back in 1895 by Guy Beringer and was inspired by his own hangovers!
You see, Guy used to like partying late into the night. A consequence of this would mean he would regularly miss breakfast the next day. A predicament indeed!
His answer? Combine the words “breakfast” and “lunch” and add a round of drinks to the mix. Thus “brunch” was born. Genius!
Fast forward 217 years and we went one further and added the word “Bottomless” (Hard drinking Guy would be so proud of us).

TONIGHT AT JOSEPHINES

The New kid on the block in Liverpool is Tonight Josephine. Coming in hot with their weekly themed brunches, they are taking Bottomless Brunch Liverpool to a new level.
Get balls deep in a Dabbers & Drag bingo brunch, get Drunk in Love with a Beyonce Drag Brunch or grab your dancing queens for some 70’s nostalgia with the Mamma Mia Brunch (gimme, gimme, gimme them bottomless cocktails!).
Dan’s Verdict:
Great entertainment, fun themes & free flowing cocktails. Tonight Josephines will blow your baps off! It’s slap bang in the middle of the city centre too! If you’re looking to let your hair down then this is the one for you!
THE FLORIST
A botanical Bottomless Brunch in Liverpool with an explosion of flora. The Florist has been dubbed Liverpool’s “’most photographed bar in the city” and it’s not hard to see why.
Their bottomless drinks aren’t too bad either, with a choice of Aperol, Raspberry, Blood Orange or Elderflower Spritzer, as well as prosecco and house beer.
Dans Verdict:
If you’re looking for a side of selfies with your bottomless brunch in Liverpool they don’t come much more instagrammable than this.
A more sophisticated and relaxed bottomless brunch experience.
LUBAN
The Courtyard, Cains Brewery Village, Stanhope Street, Liverpool, L8 5XJ
A Chinese bottomless brunch in Liverpool. Yes you read that right! This is a Bottomless Brunch with a difference!
Delicious food served up by Chef Dave Critchley with a choice of bottomless wines, bubbles and beers (oh and their cocktail of the week).
Dan’s Verdict:
Chinese food lovers rejoice! Luban has a gorgeous selection of dishes which vary from week to week (set menu so you can spend less time deciding on food and more time sampling the bottomless drink!). It is located in the Baltic Triangle area of town which is a quirky little area on the outskirts of the city centre.
REVOLUCIÓN DE CUBA
Havana na na na! A Bottomless Brunch in Liverpool that adds some zing!
Live music, rum, cocktails, freshly prepared tapas and the incredible spirit of Havana. What’s not to love?
What’s more it is set in the iconic Albert Dock. With a sun terrace for dockside dining, you could almost be on Havana’s famous Malecón!
Dan’s Verdict:
If views are your thing they don’t get much better than this! Couple that with some really tasty food and latin inspired cocktails and you’re onto a real winner!
The Albert Dock is on the outskirts of the City Centre in Liverpool’s famous Docklands and is a more chilled area of Liverpool. You can walk here from most apartments/hotels in the city centre but you may want to consider a cheeky Uber ride if you are wearing heels!
NEIGHBOURHOOD LIVERPOOL
You will find Neighbourhood on Castle Street. It is housed in an iconic building that used to be a bank with huge high ceilings and historic features.
What goes on inside the walls of this majestic building? A weekly brunch event that has become almost as iconic as the building.
With live DJs and entertainment, a globally inspired menu and bottomless drinks!
Dan’s Verdict:
Set in a beautiful building and in a great location too! Only 2 mins from Liverpool One.
If you are looking for a more classy brunch experience in a beautiful setting then this might just be the one for you!
MASONS BAR & KITCHEN
Saturdays at Masons mean one thing only. Let’s go bottomless baby! This place has some of the coolest vibes in the city.
Located on Seel Street directly opposite 54 Liverpool, it’s in a really lively area of town and has an atmosphere to match!
With a really classy selection of plates from Eggs Benedict to Teriyaki Chicken. Oh and did we mention the 90 minutes of bottomless drinks!
Dan’s Verdict:
Beats and brunch! Mason’s has a really cool vibe and is in a great location. It’s in one of the liveliest parts of town and from a practical point of view anyone staying in the city centre – you’re going to be within walking distance from most hotels and apartments in Liverpool.
The food is simple and classy and the cocktails are free flowing!
CASTLE STREET TOWNHOUSE
As the guys say on their homepage “With a nod to the spectacular interior and the three mirrors at the bar, we show the three sides of you.”
So you’ll be seeing 6 sides of you after drinking the bar dry at your bottomless brunch then!
On a serious note the interior is seriously impressive. Beautiful even!
You can enjoy a brunch item and side, plus bottomless prosecco and beer for a more classy brunch experience!
Dan’s Verdict
A stunning bar that is located in the heart of Liverpool city centre. Housed on the historic Castle Street. The type of Bar you would expect James Bond to be propped up on wearing a tuxedo holding a martini.
If you want a nice sophisticated brunch experience then this place definitely has to be on the shortlist!
2 WACKY BONUS REVIEWS
YARD AND COOP
The Pengest Brunch. A finger lickin’ good Bottomless Brunch. A brunch that will have you cluckin’ for more!
I introduce you to the Fried Chicken Bottomless Brunch. MIND BLOWN! With a mouth watering menu featuring Chicken ‘N’ Waffles to Chicken Breakfast Burritos (infused with homemade gravy mmmmm).
Comes with a choice of bottomless prosecco, wine or yard pilsner!
Dan’s Verdict
A brunch for the chicken connoisseurs. A brunch for the girls who don’t mind rolling their sleeves up and getting deep, down and dirty with their food.
The bottomless drink options are quite basic but the food is delicious and tasty. Yard & Coop is located right in the heart of the city centre too (just 30 seconds from Liverpool Central station).
THE ROMANS
A medieval sausage party! A big bottomless brunch sausage fest! Have I got your attention!? Intrigued? Curious perhaps?
The Romans is fastly gaining cult-like status in Liverpool for “The Emperors Games” which is massively popular with groups visiting the city.
They have now stepped into the Bottomless Brunch game with a BANG(er). This is an add on to their activity “The Emperor’s Games” and features genuine German sausage.
A roman mediaeval style banquet of German sausage and unlimited Posca (a roman sangria, yum), Bavarian beers and Gladiator Blood Mojitos!
Dan’s Verdict
From the creators of “Brutally Good Fun” – Liverpool’s #1 rated outdoor activity comes “Brutally Good Food” for a bottomless brunch sausage party!
This is set in a secret wooded location (so cool) and includes return transfers (you are picked up from Liverpool city centre). It is worth noting that this is available as an add on ONLY to the games at the moment.
Giant footlong bratwurst, Currywurst and a selection of drinks such as Posca (a traditional roman drink that will blow your knickers off!).
If you like unique and want to go home with some hilarious stories to tell then this is the one for you. It gets very busy here between the months of April & August so it would be advised to book well in advance.
